Kevin Smith likes to say that Harvey Weinstein taught him to never give up a sure thing. It’s an easy thing to say. What is required is not just the talent to spot a sure thing, but also to have the mettle to pursue it. And if anybody knows how to spot a sure thing and then to pursue it, Harvey Weinstein it is. The Weinstein Company now has launched its Video Game Unit. What this means is that you and I are soon going to be playing “Scream” on the X-box, and we’re going to like it. Whether it makes money or not, almost anything the Weinstein brothers touch is worth watching. One can bet that the games their company will make will probably be worth playing. So TWC Games is here. Scream, Scary Movie, Halloween and Hellraiser will probably all soon be on offer. Or maybe it will be something completely different. Whatever it is, independent filmmakers everywhere should be inspired by this story. Cause Harvey Weinstein is just inspiring, pure and simple. Michael Moore vs. The Weinsteins

Michael Moore has sued the Weinstein Brothers over profits over the 2004 hit movie Fahrenheit 9/11. Moore claims that the Weinsteins swindled him out of at least $2.7 million using trick accounting practices.  The attorney for the Weinsteins suggested that Moore’s claims are frivolous and that Moore had already made $19.8 million in profits. Are the Weinsteins capable of such trickery or is Moore just being greedy?? Feel free to opine.
